Default Wiring a ccBEC

Ok, just finishing up my Wraith, got a question on the ccBEC wiring

Currently, I have a spektrum 4ch receiver
THR - ESC
STR - Servo
AUX1 - BEC
AUX2 -
BIND/BATT -

If I decided to run lets say a dig, or lights, or both, am I able to plug the BEC into the BIND slot? Or just stick with how I have it now.

I know I can add the dig servo to AUX2, and lights inline with AUX1 (with how the BEC is setup now)

My futaba 4ch is plugged into the batt leaving the other 2 channels free so it should be fine on yours.

The BEC will only be feeding the servo instead of rx, servo, lights and dig servo if you ever want to do them as you were saying. This way the external BEC will only power the servo and the internal BEC will be doing the rest.

Makes sense. I would assume I can use a y harness for the BEC and servo connection?

Exactly the way I wire all mine. An ESC will power your reciever just fine and possibly a few leds without issue.

I usually use a Y harness and remove the red wire from the harness on the end it plugs into the receiver. This way you need not cut any wires or make anything permanent. Just plug in the BEC and servo and plug that into the channel 1 or steering.

It is a good practice to run a common ground (black wire) between the Rx and Servo. I know a lot of people don't do it and have no problem, but this just eliminate a possible source of glitching.

You can just use a Y harness and cut the Red wire to the Rx and the signal wire (wire or orange depends on brand) from the BEC.
