Re: Hitec servo

probably a 645mg ( 130oz ) 5645mg (170oz )

A BEC never hurts no matter what servo you have

In general, the internal BEC limit is ~200inoz, above that you really should get an external BEC.

The exception is a HH BR-XL which can handle a bit more torque.8)

A HiTec 7955 in a 1.9 comp rig or scaler is one thing, a 7955 in a 2.2 comp rig that is heavy is another. Be mindful of the application.

None of those reasons holds water for me. But it's a good thing it doesn't matter, cuz you really don't ever need a bec! It's just a money grabbing brainwashing campaign propegated by castle to sell little blue shrink wrapped voodoo boxes that don't do anything, except infiltrate your brain at night to steal your hopes & dreams. Read it on the interweb............

Actually if you buy a high voltage rated servo you could power it straight from a 2S lipo!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yoraish/8160241728/" title="Photo 65 by yoraish, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8208/8160241728_4cb5078d8b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Photo 65"></a>

In this setup the servo receives power from the battery and signal from the Rx. Pay attention that the red wire is disconnected in the Rx plug od the servo (Y harness).
