Default what size pinion for a 35t motor

was wondering what would be a good tooth size pinion for a tamiya cr tuned 35t motor in a scx10 running the ae-2 esc using a 5300mah 2s lipo`s.

it would be mainly for fun running with some comp style running aswell.

forgot to say iam running a 85t spur gear

2 teeth difference on the spur does not make a difference.....pretend you have an 87 tooth spur and go from there.

What ratio is being suggested? Simply doing the math will show you how little difference there is between an 85t and and 87t. 87/14=6.2:1 85/14=6.1:1 Variations in the build quality of motors, lipos, and the variations of scx builds would make a much larger difference than the .1:1 ratio change will.

Your tire/wheel size would make a bigger difference than 2 teeth on the spur.

On a rig with 1.9's and 4.75" tires I like an 84/20 gear setup.
On a 2.2 with 5"+ tires I like 84/16.

Standard RTR come as 87/20 In think, so if you have not change the tire, 84/19 or 84/18 would the way to start, just get a bunch of 20, 18, 16, 14 and try it.
