I think this looks bad. I like my DX4S. No need for a drop down wheel. I'm not racing.

Sorry for the newbie question but.... What's the advantage of the drop wheel? easier to reach other buttons?

MT4 is best for MOA however i do love my DX3R for all my other RCs, especially bashing the radios are built tough and the rxs are cheap and plentiful. I love this black color as well. Sweet, ill be getting one. LIK |

When will mainstream radio companies start making 5-6 channel pistol grip radios? It would be nice to have more than 4.

So true. Most 5-6 channel guys are flying and stick is the best application for this. Boating, semis, crawling, etc that could use this many channels is such a small market compared to flying, that the major companies all overlook making a wheel radio to accommodate us. The other issue I see for one is room for all the necessary components that the radio would need. If they were to use surface mount electronics and smaller circuits it would jack the price up so high that IMO most guys probably wouldn't want to fork over the dough, when they could get the same amount of channels in a stick remote from the same manufacturer for cheaper. --Dan

Will it work with older Spektrum/Losi(RTR) receivers? I like my DX3R and I have a hoard of receivers for it. The M2 in my XR10 does ok, but its shortcomings are well documented and I am looking at going to duel ESCs. |

But I disagree with your 2nd paragraph. My 4PL already has all the components it needs including many buttons, and all it would need is software changes to support more channels. The FlySky GT3B is a fine example, it's been hacked up to 6 channels (or more?). Only the RX requires a few more components but they already make those in high volumes for flyers so that's not an issue. I'm not looking for another radio so I won't look at this one in detail, but more options and competition can only be a good thing
