Default Stump Humper / AE-2 esc

Would the Brood Stump Humper work with the Honcho Axial AE-2 ESC. Looking for a replacement motor. Using 2s, but would be ready to run 3s if it would be needed to get some wheel speed.

Thanks J.

The Axial esc is essentially a castle sidewinder. I would work well.

If you use it and decide to go 3s make sure you put a bec on it.

In my son's Wraith we replaced his motor with a HH TorqueMaster Sport 540 27T and he is happy with it, so I was thinking on that motor. I was wanting to try a different sent up so was thinking on the Stump Humper. From what I could find it should have the same speed of a 27T but with more torque? Running it on 3s should give the motor more speed? I think the AE-2 should be save on 3s to?I have a brand new BEC (and CC programmer) ready to go in with the motor so no worries there.

Thanks J.

Yeah I've run the ae2 on 3s before, with a bec it'll be fine. I just waterproofed one and ran It at our g6 with a 35t hh motor on 3s...it ran fine all day and night..didn't even get very warm at all..geared 16/87

Ordered the motor Monday received it on Wednesday, that's pretty fast shipping . Will try to get it installed and running by the weekend. My wife saw the invoice from the printer, had a scared look on her face and asked what is a Stump Humper .

mjc597 Thanks for the gearing info.

I'd seriously look at holmes 13t expert if you want close to a 27t speed with great low speed at a great price:

I think the motor is a 15t but being a 550 can it's more like a 25t in a 540 can. Still learning might be wrong.... Second time out the motor started stalling out in high load times, so I'm checking all the soldering joints, and anything else I can think of but it might be the ESC.. Before it started stalling out it was awesome, great power and speed with the stock gearing motor and the ESC were not heating up. Very happy with the motor, just need to find out what up with it now ....
