Question Speed Passion motors

Anyone have any experience with Speed Passion brushless motors? Specifically the Ultra Sportsman line? I found a 13.5T sensored for less than $40.00. Worth the dough or am I better off spending a bit more on one of the more well known brands. This would go into a Wraith, mixed trail driving and backyard crawling.

Thanks guys!

Thanks Simon! I think the lack of responses may be telling me something. After a bit more research, it looks like the Ultra Sportsman may be more suitable to power a buggy or light weight short-course truck. Maybe I'll keep looking...

Just try it and let us know. I might try one out just to see how it does.

I had a 17.5 Ultra Sportsman that I ran for a while in my LCC. It ran pretty good, but I could feel the lower torque compared to a more crawler specific motor. I also have read the same thing, that the SP motors are better in buggy or on-road. Solid feeling motor though.

I ran a used (beat up) Tekin Redline 13.5T on my wraith and it ran quite well, but it is not very very smooth (just smooth). I got it for only $35. Maybe try that.
