| Blown away by my Holmes Hobbies motor!
Hello I must say I was very skeptical when I bough my first quality holmes hobbies motor due to the price over the stock replacement plus I was still very green on the electric side of rc and toasted couple stock motors, then a novak. once I added up the wasted lunch money I had already spent more I thought. So I bought a 27t torquemaster sport. and ran the snot outta it and thought I had messed it up,so being a rookie I bought another motor and some brushes to freshen up the motor I destroyed. This time I got the HH crawlmaster sport 13T and let me tell you right now, HOLY BAT SHIP batman this is the motor I've been looking for. I must say I looked at the 27t I had tore up and it is perfect still, some how the motor had developed a pinch of negative timing and once I added 6degrees to it was back to normal. long story I know, but I am a firm believer in these motors now. WOW! it is the best of both worlds low end is right there and the top end is thru the roof and I'm geared 87/14 48p.I'd almost say it's it's silly |

Glad you like it, now you can understand when some of us say, "A good motor will be great, wait until you get a handwound!" The better the rig & ESC, the more you will notice. Can I interest you in a nice HH Mini ESC?? |

I was really on the fence at first so I thought I would post up my personal experience and hope it helps somebody save some wasted money on "ok" motors . After I got mine a couple friends said they are sold as well.

IMO holmes torquemaster handwounds are on par with 2pole sensored brushless motors. After going from a 2pole sensored brushless setup to a brushed motor, for simplicity, it was quite nice when bound up with a locked drivetrain.

Welcome to the Holmes Hobbies Wicked motor club. IMO hands down the best rc motors available, just got my torquemonster 550 outrunner running in my bobbed bronco buggy and have to say it is the most badass and wicked motor ive run ever and quality is second to none. Even with my slipper torqued completely down in a bind it wont stall the motor out it just slips the slipper.
