Default Hobbywing xerun 3656 3400kv

Has anyone crawled with one? People seem to like the pro4 and tekin roc and this motor is also a 540 can 4 pole with a bigger rotor and similar kv. Going to be used with a rx8 in a kyosho rock force with high speed worm gears.

I run one in my wraith. It works great on 3s. With 60/11 gearing it crawls great and will go faster that the chassis really wants to go. I have mine waterproofed with conformal coating and dielectric grease. It doesn't get hot even after hours of continuous use. It's a great buy at under $90 too. I have never had a pro4 but I really don't see it being any better than this.

I have the same motor but unsensored. I have not had a pro 4 either...but i concur, it cant be much better than a hobbywing. Truth be told, hobbywing stuff feels more quality. I have a wp sc8 unsensored esc, and it feels twice the quality of my mmp.

Hi i bought this motor and im loving it. I paired with a mmpro esc, but im running 2s lipo 40c 5800ah and a venom hardcase 5000mah 50c. I am using 56/14 gearing. But what i would like to know is what are the settings you use on the mmpro for this motor. Sensored only, cheat mode on? What rpm range? Smart sense? What timing advance? I use this to crawl and to foff but i would like to have a litle more speed out of it without overheat the esc. Can you please share your configs? Or will i need a 120amp sensored esc constant, since mmpro is a 80amp constant with 120 amp burst and the esc that comes in this combo brings a 120amp constant and amazing 760 amp burst. Please let me know your experience. Thanks

just because there is no much infor or videos of this motor, I will put another of my videos with my xerun 3400kv 3656sd now with 3s lipo, 6500mah 60c gforce.

this is just a mix of trail running and bit of crawling at low speed.

I'm terrible at guessing speed. I'll stick my phone in it and measure it when it stops raining.
