| Nimh Battery remount on Losi Night Crawler
I am running Nimh's and wanted to get the 6 cell out of the battery tray and lower on the chassis. So I split the battery and "saddlebagged" it. I used 1" PVC as a tray and to protect the battery. I had to remount the lights but there is a spot higher on the chassis that the stock mounts can be reused on. Body still hides batteries, they do bulge the body a little, I need to space the body mounts out maybe 5mm. Lowered the battery about an inch so it should make a difference, find out on the next run! |

That's a nice way to do it! (Another is to ditch the MiMH altogether and mount a smaller LiPo on the upper front links or front axle.) |
