Default radio receiver placement

According to Tamiya I should not put my radio receiver and esc side by side. has anyone had their rc start malfunctioning because put the esc (104bk) and receiver side by side, will it make that much of a difference? I had them side by side in a old stadium raider I used to have and I never noticed any adverse effects from doing so. I'm using and old futaba T2PH(75.890mhz) radio system. also is it ok if I loop the antenna wire under the body to give my pajero a more scale look.

AM/FM basic rules:

Use caps on brushed motors
Keep RX away from motor, ESC & associated power wires
Keep RX antenna away from motor, ESC & associated power wires
Don't change the RX antenna length (don't cut it)
Keep the antenna "loose", not wrapped/coiled tightly

All this is made worse as the distance between the TX & RX increases.

If your motor is in good shape (clean round comm, good brush length, good brush tension) with caps, it limits EMI & RFI which is what makes RX's glitch.

So, to answer your question, try to follow the above rules. If you have issues, use the rules to troubleshoot.
