MMP's Internal BEC Died Tonight.

So here's my setup. MMP powering RX. CCBEC is wired directly to the servo, only the ground wire from the BEC is connected to the RX through the ground on the servo. Servo is conected to the RX via signal and ground wire.

MMP (power switch is bypassed)
Castle BEC
Savox SA-1230SG
OrangeRX GR300 RX

Everything has been pulled apart and coated with conformal for 6 months or so. Ran a comp last weekend, in and out of water, typical stuff I normally put my truck through, everything worked great. Got home cleaned the truck up a little, and put it on the shelf. Fast forward to tonight, guy at work wanted to do a little tug-a-truck, my wraith against his Stampede 4x4 VXL. Well, get them hooked up and I start towing him around the shop, then all of the sudden I lose power. Light on the CCBEC is on when the battery is hooked up, but no LED activity from the MMP. I have the CCBEC and servo wired with connectors, so I pull them apart and use the CCBEC to power the RX. Well, I now have power to the MMP.

Based on what I found through some searching on here is that the internal BEC may have died. Any idea if it will ultimately shorten the lifespan of my MMP?

Ive had multiple cc escs bec fail, an external works for me. still disconnect the red wire from the esc though.

I tried that and the MMP fails to start up. You have to wire it like a MMP 1 Cell ESC, the red wire becomes a sensing wire to turn it on.
