Default Quick dead servo question,Water or Burned out?

I never really had a servo die on me before, but this past weekend we were running in plenty of water so more than likely thats what it was.
But what happened was we creek running and it worked fine for most of the day and then I noticed it was steering kinda slow,Then only turned the one way then seconds later Nothing. After that it caused my entire truck not to work then made my lights blink on and off. I thought I fried my rx or esc,Once I got it home and looked at it,I noticed I couldnt even turn the wheels back and forth by hand,The servo was locked in place.

I did water proof it,the case was all in tact and sealed,,the servo horn I just fill it will di-electrical grease. I took it apart the grease was still there, but not packed,so its possible it could have leaked in?
I used a savox servo 240oz "I forget the model number" and running it in a wraith.
Based on what happened, what do you think it was water damage or burned up for another reason?

I say take it the rest of the way apart and see what actually locked up. but the slow steering then flashing I'd say the motor is toast.

My AE2 and a Futaba S3305 were both destroyed by water intrusion...

Would steer full right to lock... and stay that way.
Even when manually aligned would repeat that every time it was plugged in.
( ^ even after drying them out )

Rather then investigating their failure...
I tossed each...
better replacement servos are cheap to buy.

The 772 Solar MG high torque servo is only $ 17.00 to buy.
Way better then the stock junk for sure...
Their performance specs may be better then many of the high end (cost) servos.

^ not waterproofed tho'... (water resistant maybe)
so that would need be done to make it survive wet conditions.

Worth the hassle of doing that...
'cause the 772 Solar servo is cheap to purchase...
and works very well.

Yea I have a solar in my scx10 worked pretty well. Thats why im trying to figure out what happened with this savox,Not sure if it just went bad or if water got in there. If it burned up I will go with either some more solars or maybe a hitec.

FYI Solar 772 Servo works best at 8.1v. I tested it to 9.0v. Between 8.2 and 9.0 it felt like the stall torque was getting very low. (from what I understand that is the amount of torque required to stop servo movement)
