hobbywing WP SC8 ESC QUESTION

i got an Emaxx a couple months ago. Its has a 2150kv Kershaw motor and a wpsc8 esc.im running dual nimh batteries. It seemed to work fine at first. Now when i run it , it will just stop right in the middle of a run. It seems to slow gradually then puke. Wait a second , hit the throttle itll take off again and puke again.Esc flashes red which i found means it has do with low voltage cut off. Guy i got it from was using lipos so i shut that off. Still does it. ??????? Any thoughts or suggestons?

Do you have to "save" the setting?
You may be able to lower the LVC even lower, or, switch to LiPO, or, add a cell to your packs.

You can program the esc through the button menu, but it is easier to use a program card which is pretty cheap. The SC8 uses the fan connector, NOT the receiver lead to program it.

This is the link to the manual if you don,t have a program card.

"Save" setting? I think so. I found the online manual and it says once you have it set at OFF, power the esc off , then back on to save. Ive tried reciever, transmitter, checked all wires, unhooked fans, servos. Still the same. I think it just took a dump.

sounds like your batteries are junk. HW esc's dont like weak battery's at all from my experience, try lipo..

Are you sure you saved your settings on the computer before you unplugged the esc? If you don't save before you unplug it than the esc won't have any of the new settings. I would plug it back in and confirm that the lvc is turned off. Turning the punch control down will help crap batteries survive too.
