Traxxas ET-3S is basically te same as an MMP

Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but this thing just ain't working for me.
I'm going to try tomorrow on a different computer and if that doesn't work, f*** it.

I'm a similar boat. This thing is turning out to be a larger pain than it's worth.

After reading it elsewhere and finally re-reading the fine print in this thread here....

I am too cheap for the last one, I do have a friend that works occasionally at the LHS that MIGHT have access to a TQi.

Might just have to grow some and hack it (since I now have step-by-step).

I finally got it to calibrate like a charm...whoo-hoo.

What is staging mode? And how do you know if its in it?
As far as I can tell mine both work normal. I was just going to hack it so it could run 6s ( not that I will ever do that on a scaler)

X2 on the 6s, but 4s would be nice.

There are three modes that are controlled on the TQi radio.
Staging, Burn-out, and racing mode. Seems to be luck of the draw as to where it is set from the factory.

It runs slow. It slow crawls like a villain, but has no top end. Almost like a extreme training mode. With my driving, maybe I should stick with it for awhile.

Thanks, I had to disable that to even get it to calibrate to my Futaba.

Here is the video. I did a slow crawl at first then @ :15 is all out. @ :48 is full throttle forward then same in reverse. Just no balls, throttle not smooth.

HACKED!!! Cant wait to do it to my other esc and try them out! Currently running on 1.46 castle firmware.

Just double confirming that it works now. I have done both of my et3s escs and everything went off without a hitch.

Thats neat! I've checked this thread a while ago. Great to see that someone hacked them! In the thread on the Traxxas forum they suggest that this hack should work on the Losi MSC-MXPRO and AE-2 (and more but those are the ones who interested me :P). Has someone tried it on these ESCs?

Ready to run my Pro4 on 3s instead of limited to 2s with my hobbyking ESC currently installed

I really don't understand Traxxas. They go from the great Mamba Monster to this..?? Really traxxas?! My e-revo has the original Mamba Monster and it halls ass especially on 4s power..I can't see why traxxas wanted to change the case and claim it for there own..I guess they wanted to make "more money" even though they probably aren't.

The funny car where the ET-3s (Mamba Max Pro) is installed is a much lighter vehicle than the E-Revo or E-Maxx where they put the Mamba Monster in.

Any by the way many companies rebrand products from other companies.

HPI Blur = Castle Mamba Monster
Axial AE2 = Castle Sidewinder

and so on...

Taking the Traxxas and installing a Hobbywing sensored Brushless 3656 motor in a Ultra4 rig. From what I ready should hall ass and crawl.
