Default is this possible?

I just had this crazy idea of a super torque motor in my head and i thought i would consult with people that know more about motors then me.
The idea 550 can, 4 mag can, 5 segment arm, duel windings with thick wire.
like i said this was just an idea that i came up with i have no idea if it would work or even if it would worth it.
Thanks
Grunt

With my limited motor knowledge, it should be 550 size can, dual cobalt mag, 3 segment arm, with single big wire and big web, 10mm comm stiff springs...etc.

4 mag and 5 segment design seems to weaken the magnetic field to have higher rpm and /or smoother start up and low end control.

Strong magnets, large wire and heavier arm will produce more torque but less rpm and smoothness.

That my opinion, you may want to want for one of the resident motor guru for more precise advice.

thanks for the info, sounds like i might not even try this if you wont get nice low end smoothness when running the set up you said.

What I am saying is all about trading off, if you are after the outmost torque, then RPM and low end smoothness will be trading off (a small amount), PM our resident Motor Guru (ie, EddieO and JRH) and they will point you to the right direction.
