Hey all i was just wondering what the difference between a bec design for a plane and and one designed for cars. Only difference i see is that my car bec has the white wire going from the bec to the receiver and the ones for planes does not, just two. What is the function of the white wire on a car bec?

Really no one else knows either!

It is wired as per instructions and as you can see there is a signal wire from bec to receiver.
So what is its function?

You should try posting this in the electronics thread you'd get a lot more answers. As far as becs go a bec is a bec. The wire you see is the signal wire and shouldn't run the to the Esc unless you do not have an Esc with an internal bec. If you run it to the Esc it will cause problems causing the Esc to malfunction or burn up the internal one.

Yep, but if you look close the signal wire from the ESC is disconnected.

What BEC are you using ? A CC 10 amp bec has an orange signal wire and it is used solely for programming the bec. It does not need to be removed whem plugged into the rx. I do not know if other bec's are the same...

You def need to remove the red wire from the esc going to the rx when using an external bec as the diagram shows.
