Yes, all of them!
It boils down to the other restrictions you have...
- For the motor it's typical just price. The HH motor with a price tag that fits your budget is the best for you.
- For the ESC there's also size and weight. So the HH ESC that fits your demands in price, size and weight is a very good option. (Although Castle Sidewinder and Tekin FXr are also good contestants.)

One10 crawlers distributes in Australia, you could pick up parts from them cheaper because of the lowered shipping cost.

Holmeshobbies.com/blog has rebuild tips, most people can run a 35t motor for a full season between rebuilds if it doesn't get really dirty.

I run the Holmes hobbies BRXL ESC's. I have 3 of them and have had 0 failures in over a year. Two years on one of them. I've never tried one of his motors however. I use both Tekin and Novak 35T and in my latest build a Tekin 45T. All of them are powered by 3 cell lipos.

Depends on... gearing, battery(2s, 3s, 4s), conditions, use, etc.....

I ran a 35t torque master pro on 4s with 87/16 gearing for over a year, still runs and hasn't needed rebuilt.

Keep em clean and maintain them after dirty/muddy runs and every so often in between dry trail runs.. imo

Cool Re: best 35t motor and esc ?

I dig HH stuff alot. Haven't run one of their esc's yet, but it'll kill it no doubt. As for motors, their stuff is excellent for consistency imo. Novaks seem to be dodgy in that area. I've had good ones, & crap ones too. But unless ya pickem up cheap in a trade, not worth their price tags. Tekins have mostly been good for me, with a few exceptions. But for tekin money, I'd go HH torquemaster & call it done. I heard integys motors have gone to crap. Which sucks, cuz those were one of the seemingly few things integy did right.

35t holmes for crawling/trail novak for crawling tekin crawling/trail/bash

esc
the holmes esc is a castle based platform so very easy to program with program ability down to how much voltage and amps you wish to withdraw per cell if you want little more or less.
the novak was my first 4 escs i had 2 roosters and 2 goats they all had one simple flaw heat.. in the middle of summer under massive torque it would over heat and shut down.
The Tekin well this was hand in hand with all the info found on this forums I had same issues, if you are crawling make sure it is well vented or you over heat the motor did not burn brushes as fast as holmes when bashing but it seriously disliked the mud compared to the holmes as for brushless versions the motors are good but use their esc since 2 in 3 people have heat issues when crawling with a mamba on a tekin motor "I am one of them"

But with all this said as pointed out Replacing brushes is MUCH easier then replacing a esc or full motor my collection is mostly holmes due to speed and product quality, esc is still castle based and castle mambas/sidewinders. but most people start with novak since they are lower cost and fun.
