futaba 4pl to a cheap spektrum dx3e radio

I will start with what am dealing with I have a chaotic crawler switch xr10 hitec 7954 tekin fxr tekin 35t with a rc4wd dig unit. So I have always used futaba radios and every rig I have had with a futaba I can't seem to get a smooth transition from a stop go start and reverse is always worse than going forward so I had a Buddy suggest I try a spektrum I had a dx3e laying around and wow what a difference throttle transition is so much smoother I can't believe the difference that this made, and before u go saying I didn't know how to adjust all the settings believe me I have tried everything and end the end a cheap 40$ radio and it is a totally different rig

You can mod the 4pl to have as much reverse trigger travel as forward.
