Default Help with Sidewinder 3 Flashing Yellow

I'm just about complete with the Wraith kit, but my Sidewinder 3 just beeps with the flashing yellow light. I initially calibrated the ESC last night, and everything worked, so I went to sleep. This morning, no joy. The receiver seems to be working because the steering servo responds.

My setup:

ESC Sidewinder 3 (changed the setting to brushed motor with the CC Field Link Card)
BEC Castle Creations
Motor Axial 20T
Btry 3S 2200mah
Radio/TX Traxxas 27mhz 2 channel TQ3

Do you mean from the ESC to the motor? If so, I'm using two wires from the ESC to the motor.

I just plugged the ESC into the 1st channel and got it to work perfectly, even calibrated it with the steering wheel acting as a throttle. When I plugged it back into the 2nd channel, the yellow just flashes. Is this a bad receiver?

Looking at this..... Castle Creations | FAQ: 1/10th Scale Products , a lot depends on what you're doing.

Try the RX slot right after the one u r plugging into. Same happened to me and most traxxas RX have 2 channel 1 then a channel 2

I plugged in the ESC into Channel 1 and I can fwd/rev/brk with the ESC/motor. Seems like channel 2 is inoperable. The receiver has 3 channels, is there any way I could mod the radio to send the throttle or steering signal through channel 3? The TQ3 radio is a 3 channel (2 position) radio.

I'll try other combinations of channels on the RX

Now channel 1 is not working. I am quitting with the Traxxas RX, could it be possible that the ESC/LIPO has fried the RX? Anyway, ordered a Fly Sky GT3C. Was hesitant about it, but needed something at a low cost. Starting this hobby got expensive... quickly.

If you have the internal ESC BEC to the RX (and not an external BEC to the RX) then the ESC will output a safe voltage to the RX. It won't matter what the battery voltage is (short of overvolting the ESC which can cause it to fail).
The internal BEC outputs voltage through the ESC to RX wires.

What voltage was the became set on? If it was more than 6 volts it may have fried the receiver.

I just checked, it was at 5.1, I just increased it to 6.0 using the GR3E rx.
