Question Airtronics MX-V winch control

I got a airtronics MX-V and I need to control a winch I know its only a two position switch but are there any other ways to do it other than the hey-ok winch controller? 45.00 seems a little steep but I know it will work.

you can do it using the 3rd channel and an esc. it might be a pain to do on that radio though. it would involve using the channel reversing function. 2 positions 1 off 2 on. so it would go like this,

on normal position it would be 1 position is off 2nd position would be winch in or out(your choice) once you get the cable to the length you want click the switch to stop the winch, then reverse the channel and click the switch to the on position. that would spool the winch back in, click the 3rd channel again to stop the winch. you might have to play around with it to get the performance you want but it has worked for me in the past.

Then you can save up for Als winch controller, which makes life much simpler.
