tatra 8x8 motor esc combo questions

Hey lads I'm looking for some advice!
Got a new build coming - 1/10 tatra 8x8 and I'd like your opinions on what esc-motor combo would be best for me.I have a brushed 35t honcho with mtronics tio esc which I've never had an issue with.for the tatra though I wouldn't mind something a bit more special.
1-it's going to have to be very torquey to spin 8 wheels
2-I'd like it to be faster than the honcho.
3-I don't mind going brushless if I could waterproof it.
4-I don't really want to spend more than 150 but I would if it made a big difference.
So guys what would be your choice of power plant and why.
Thanks in advance for any advice

I am running this 540 Brushless Sensored Outrunner from Holmes Hobbies on my 15lbs CXT rig on 3s. Geared 10:1 it easily handles this rig. Ran it for 45 minutes on the G6 trial and it was barely warm to the touch. Lowend control is great and if you wanna get crazy with the wheelspeed just gear it up a little.

Edit. I run it on a Mamba Max Pro ESC.

I would think that a HH torqumaster pro custom with the following:
45t
5mm web 10mm comm
Two mag FB12
Checkpoint brushes
Highest fill wire
And runit on a HH BRXL - you will have all the torque you need, and if you want it faster just increase your S - start at 3S and watch temps.
:)

i think you have a lot of options. i had a novak goat 3s with 18.5t brushless combo on hand and i've been running that in my 6x6 (which probably weighs in around 10-12lbs) with no issues. i'm using 2s lipos and it gets good runtime, is pretty quick and runs cool.

jebster are you ever lacking torque or speed with the goat setup?

Not so far.

I've ran that setup - sold it pretty quick. To each their own - but read reviews on Novak here - MUCH more way negative than positive. Read the same on HH or a Tekin Pro4 - exact opposite. My experience - Novak is not good. I would recommend the Tekin Pro 4 if you want to go brushless with a MMP - but I would strongly advise you to stay away from Novak - will not spend my hard earned money on their product again (in crawlers/scalers at least).
