Default Axial AE-2 won't finalise calibration process.

I've bought a Flysky GT3C & receivers to use in my trucks and I'm having trouble calibrating an AE-2 ESC. I've followed the instructions in the Honcho manual and the video here Axial - Calibrating the AE-2 ESC - YouTube.

Basically, with channel 2 set to normal, the ESC calibration won't recognise forward direction input (pulling the trigger). With channel 2 set to reverse setting, it will calibrate for forward direction and I think reverse direction, but it can't seem fo find the neutral throttle position (it just beeps and the red LED flashes like it's waiting for an input).

I've only tried the transmitter on my AX10 and I'm reluctant to try it on my Honcho & Wraith at the moment. I did bind the Rx & Tx, and the truck is drivable in forward/ reverse, but I have no drag brake so I'm guessing the throttle neutral point isn't calibrating correctly.

What settings should the transmitter be set at?
My channel 2 settings currently are: Servo: Rev, End point: 100%, Trim: N00, Dual: 100%, Expo: 0%.

I haven't owned one of these techy radios before, so any help is much appreciated.

You need a Castle Link Programmer to check the drag brake settings. There are ways to do it without but I like seeing with the programmer on my computer what all the settings of the AE-2 are.

Not exactly sure but, try with the dual set to 0.

Won't setting the dual rate to 0 give me 0% throttle travel?

I have the Castle link and the settings are fine. I think the main issue is the transmitter settings. The car drove fine with my old Traxxas TQ3, but now with the new radio I can't get the ESC to calibrate properly.

From axials website:
Notes:

1. If ESC set-up does not initialize while holding full throttle, try switching the throttle reverse switch on the transmitter. Also double check that the throttle trim is still set to zero.

I think I've got it worked out. It might have just been incorrect timing of my trigger inputs. It seems to be working fine now.
