For most classes (except G6, maybe some scale class?) courses are in the 4-6 minute range, the average I run is 5 minutes/course. This is part of why we can run small mah packs.

G6 courses can be quite long with a fair amount of time close to full throttle.

Do you have to run a small mah pack
( like its in the regs or something) or is it just not necessary to run a higher mah pack

No regs on capacity.
Since most comp rigs are tight on space & we try to keep mass (weight) where we want it, small packs make it easier.

The, "I'm going to be lighter than you" crowd is going even lower in capacity/mah.

My packs are on the high side (capacity/mah wise), but I also know that they drop in performance over time/charge cycles. If I start a little high, they will work on a course longer.

PS, you know, YOU could read the rules so you know. Helps when doing a rig for a class so you don't do something "less than desirable".
