LRP Vector 17.5t 2200kv

Hi All

Just wondering what opinions were on this motor, it is planned to go in a Wraith. I'm looking for a go fast truck (not uncontrolable though) with a bit of torque (to lift the front wheels of the ground :) if needed) and smooth low speed running, not necessarily for crawling though.

Will be using 2s battery and undecided ESC, probably a MMP.

Would thesaud motor suit the bill?

Thanks
Rob

I'd be a bit cautious.
On 2S it's to little power to go fast, and the motor isn't designed for higher voltages.

There are other cheapish 17.5T motors that can be run on 4S, and then you get the speed, torque and efficiency you want!

Thanks for the reply

Do you have any suggestions, was being cautious about using more than 2s for thetime being until I upgrade the drivetrain later on so would want something with some flexibility to allow me to use it with 2s then move up to 3s or 4s once the rig has been prepared for that?

How about this:

Novak Crusher Extreme 17.5t 2,200k

Seems like it can be used from 2s to 4s and can run crawler motors also, combo motor should give a good burst of speed and enough torque?

I think there are much better options in the $200 range, but also cheaper motors.

I run a Turnigy Trackstar 17.5T with an MMP. The motor is cheap (~$35) and can handle 4S easily.
It's not very smooth for crawling though, and I don't know how well it handles a high load over longer time. Adding to insult the mechanical timing can't be set lower than 15 degrees.
