Default Axial simple light controller

I have a question for you electronics minded because I am not.I picked up an Axial simple light controller to use on my Sawback. I don't want to shorten the life of the LED's by putting too much voltage through them. My question, with the light controller plugged into my receiver, the voltage to the lights would be limited by the output of the receiver voltage correct ,which should be 6 volts. However, with 3s, the lights are much brighter than when I have a 2s hooked up to the system. Does the/a receiver actually reduce voltage or is it putting out what is being put into the receiver from the ESC? Thank you.

I've ran mine for years on 3s with no bad affects to my leds. You are correct that the power comes from the receiver. The receiver is either powered by the preferred method of using an extremely bec which you can set at any voltage you want or through the preset bec built into the esc you are using. If you are using the esc bec them you would have to look at the instructions to see if the because voltage varies from 2s to 3s. Most though are fixed.

I have no external BEC hooked to this rig. 200inoz servo, using a HH BRXL.
