Holmes Hobbies 500 Puller motor vs Crawlmaster pro

I'm lookin at these 2 motors and would like some user feedback. Is one faster than the other? More torque, lower temps? Better start up? Eats more or less battery. This motor will be going in a wraith with br-xl and a minimum of 3s maybe 4s . Climbing, racing, trailing, creek running, I guess some would call my driving, backyard basher. The Crawlmaster pro may be purchased in the 11T rock racer version. And it's $35cheaper than the puller motor. So any feedback on either motor works for me. Thanks guy's "thumbsup"

Wow! Not 1 person has any experience with either of these motors.

I would post your question in the HH vendor section. John see thoses question.

But I can tell you I have had both and wouldn't throw a puller 500 in a wraith.

I was thinking the same thing as Sally1800..
I love my pullers, just not sure they would be the right choice for a Wraith..
Honestly, for a Wraith, go 550 sized brushless.. Tekin pro4, something along those lines. Especially if you are bashing and playing.

If you're sure you want to go brushed, holmes makes a motor specifically for the Wraith.. Even tells you what gears to run..

I also agree that the 500 puller is not for a wraith. I run them in my comp rig and love them to death!!! My wraith runs a pro 4, but I'm running the 540 puller TTC from Holmes in my daughters wraith and it's great. On 3s it really gets it, but will wear brushes a bit quicker. Has great crawl ability, great drag brake, and good top end. Hope this helps.
Later,
Farmer

Ok it sounds like the crawlmaster pro 11t rock racer motor is the motor for the wraith. And not the puller motor.

I already have a 13t crawlmaster in there now and it is slow anymore. 11T is next or brushless but I would like to stay brushed.

I doubt there would be much performance difference in a pro or sport version of the crawlmaster 13t motor? If I'm wrong please correct me

Now don't you think I would have posted in there had I been able to post in the vendors section? I had gotten a response from John I would have not needed to ask for help but since John is overwhelmed at the moment and has not answered my emails I'm right here asking. But thanks for the great idea to ask the vendor.

Ah now your thinking. I only use brushless motors in my scalers. Maintance free. But you have to get sensored.

If you do 11t your going to be changing brushes all the time.

If your looking to save a little cash find a tekin redline 13t.

But the real deal is a pro4. Tekin pro4 is the best motors i have ever bought.

Huge difference in the pro vs sport. Drop a 13t pro arm in your sport can for basically the same motor.

If that doesn't do it for you, brushless is next. We will be releasing our two pole waterproofed sensored motor in about six weeks.

Ok John I destroyed the arm in my torquemaster 27 sport can I do the same thing with this can? I just know 1 thing, this is going in my wraith and the current 13t CM is ok I just need that extra wheel speed sometimes. if this is a yes then I'll be shipping it out asap, and send me the bill

Yep, can drop the arm into just about any can.

Sweet, I placed an order for a torquemaster pro arm in a 13t . This is fun experimenting with these little motors.

Did you order brushes along with the arm? It's always nice to have a couple of sets floating around.8)
