Default Motor or ESC problem?

Quick question.

I'm running a MMP sealed with liquid tape sensored to a Pro4. Ran the truck in mud and washed off.

Now the esc does turn on and I can crawl slow and even at full tilt. But when I get to a middle speed the motor starts to stop start stop start. Jerks really hard and wont move.

I've checked connections and it doesn't seem that the esc got wet but at this point I just wanted to know if any of you would know if it sounds like the esc took a dump and got little wet or maybe a motor issue.

Now I did remove the sensor wire and the motor did the same thing. Spins nice and slow then when you power up slow, it starts to shake in your hand like its bouncing between polls.

Any help would be great.

Thanks guys. Merry Christmas

Any ideas guys? I don't have an extra esc to test the motor or an extra motor to test the esc.

Sounds like one of the poles died either in the esc or motor. if it does the same with the sensor unhooked that eliminates it. I personally would think the motor lost a pole because I would think the esc would either work, or if it got wet would not work. I have had motors do what you described and they ended up going bad not the esc. Maybe you could ohm out the motor see if there is an open pole ( I have never tested one so I am not sure it would even work, but if there is resistance on 2 or the 3 poles, you have your answer.)

Sounds like the motor wasn't water proofed. It is a sensored motor after all...

I'll have to try that. Thanks

No it wasn't, seems dry inside but the damage might be done.
