Default Bec?

I know that I need a bec. My question is what the purpose of the cap? I have 5 bec's and only one does not have a cap. Can I remove the cap? It won't fit under servo on xr with the cap. Thanks for the help.

Could you?, yes.
Would I?, no.

I believe others here have removed the cap, it is part of the update Castle did the other year after a lot of failed 10A BEC's. The BEC may work fine but I would suggest keeping it and use that BEC in a spot where you have the room for it.

the capacitor is there to help suppress transient voltage spikes as your load requirements constantly change when drawing more or less power.

i would leave it in place.
