Default Tekin Roc 412 problem

I have a Wraith with a Roc 412 2300KV and CC MMP 1cell with CC bec.
It was running great on a smal session with my nephew tonight, where he drove the Wraith and I another RC. After a while I heard some strange cogging noise from the car. I lifted it up to try to see what the problem was, and applyed low throttle. But I could not really figure out what the problem was, The car seemed to function normally while in air. When I sat it back on the ground it had very poor torque, and ran slow. I tryed it on a smal slope, and i could not climb it, on the flat it ran very slow.
When I got home I disasembled the car since my first guess was that some kind of gear was stripped, but when I got to the motor and unbolted it from the car I wanted to try it while I was holding it just with the pinion. And I noticed that it was probaly the motor who was the problem. It ran very slow, and I tryed to hold down the pinion just with my fingers with gentle torque, and I could easily hold it from spinning. And that should not be possible just with your fingers on such a powerful motor.

Anyone got a idea on whats the problem?

^^+1 What size and C rating was the pack? My pro4 ate a 1600mah 20C pack for lunch one day, puffed it, and behaved the same way. Good packs are a must with that setup.

Yeah my 3656sd puffs any pack that can't supply over 100 amps.

I dont think it's the battery, it was running on a 3800 30c 3s pack from hpi. But illl recharge a 2200 40c 3s pack that I normally use and try that.

It act's exactly the same way with recharged 40c battery. And that is: With the electric setup out of the car, the motor runs smooth but it lacks a lot of its torque and speed that it usually have.
This seems very strange, next I'll try to hook up the castle link and see if anything is ok with esc settings. And try the motor on a sidewinder that I'll have laying around.

Silly me, can not try it on the sidewinder, it does not have sensor support.
But connected the castle link, the settings there was ok.

Checked the sensor wire also and it was ok.

Ill kind of out of ideas on trubbleshooting. My last bet is that it is something wrong with the motor or the sensorboard.

What kind of warranty does Tekin have against something like this?

Sometimes the wire looks plugged in and it's not! Make sure its plugged in all the way.

I've had sensor cables go bad, and they appear fine, plug in fine. Everything looks good, but it doesn't work. Replace the cable, everything is good.

Moral of the story, try a different sensor cable from a rig that works correctly.
