| 2 Stick TX for Custom Crawler Project
I am thinking about buying a Flysky 6 or 9 channel TX to be used on a custom crawler for multiple functions...FPV video w/ pan/tilt a camera & multiple led lighting bars etc. I will be using a Kyosho Rock Force platform. Here are a few TX questions I need technical help with. Can the left throttle stick on a Flysky be programmed on the TX for forward/reverse function, with the stick spring loaded for return to center? Will a forward/reverse ESC recognize the revised throttle stick functions? Could vehicle steering function be programmed on the ruder? Could the elevator/aileron stick be programmed for the video cam pan /tilt function? Your guidance and recommendations would greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

What the radio controls is minor, just hook it up. You would need to calibrate the ESC to the TX/RX initially, then yes, the throttle on the TX can control forward/reverse in the rig. I don't know if the throttle lever is spring centered, I highly doubt it (as a stock radio), stick throttles usually have a ratchet detent to hold a position. As to rudder controlling steering & elevator/aileron controlling the camera, sure. Just make sure you plug the correct servo into the correct RX port. Don't forget to set the steering EPA's (End Point Adjustments) in the TX so you don't burn out the steering servo. |
