They run great in Short course trucks which they where designed for. They will tear apart most crawlers or scalers. Tekin recommends using them with the RX8 if I remember correctly. If your build has a bullet proof drivetrain it should be all good. Good luck!

I run a 35T HD in a 9lb scale truck. It doesnt get hot or struggle even on steep climbs compared to the cheap RC4WD 35T which burnt out.
a lot smoother as well. Just get the gearing right. I run a bit slow, but like driving up steep trails, so it keeps the stress off the motor.

Sound great. Thanks for the input. Everything should be here by friday and most should be showing up tomorrow.

Another ? Lol it never ends. Has anyone used corosion x as a lubricant? Say for bearings and such. I see it used for waterproofing but not for the lubricating properties they say it has.
Thanks

I'm running the Tekin 45T HD motor with the FXR esc in a Wraith,
7.4 2s lipo, Castle BEC, Solar 772 servo.
Runs great, I also running 32pitch 56tooth spur and 10tooth pinion.
I lost a lot of top end speed, but it crawls & trail runs great.

Corrosion X is to help in waterproofing. Just get a bearing oil. However, it wouldn't hurt to saturate the motor with Corrosion X and then stand it up and let it drain for a few days before installing it in your rig.

So the lubricating properties is not good enough for the bearings. Would you suggest removing the brushs before I soak it down? Thanks for the help all.

No you don't have to. Just spray and let it air dry first. You could use any bearing oil or if you have any automatic transmission fluid around you can use that.
