HI and a happy new year to all; my question if anyone can help is .I have a chance of getting a castle creations sv3 sidewinder with a 5700 kw motor for my sx10 is it any good, has I've heard some say it's no good waste of money but also heard there a great combo so if any one can tell me am going to waste my money or not. Unless you were trying to build a FOFF or something, that motor is way too high KV. ESC is fine, the motor isn't a fit.

I use the same esc on brushed motors its great....ive had that motor and its nit great.for much of anything...its just too fast unless you put a really tiny pinion on it ......imo im not a fan of brushless motors in scalers....theyre tough to water proof and just too fast....program that esc for brushed and either put that motor in a go fast rig or eBay it....thats my 2 cents

Yup the speed control is great but that motor isn't going to make you happy. :lol: It will be waaaay too fast for that chassis to do anything but bounce around and crash.
