Default New RC4WD winch controller question

Can't seem to get a response from RC4WD on this and can't find anything else searching either.

I have purchased a HeyOk controller and plan on eventually running a servo winch, but for now I just picked up the new Warn RC4WD one to fool around with.

My question is, do you guys think it will work with the older brushed bulldog wired controller? I don't care if it runs a little weaker than its capable of so long as it at least works and doesn't burn anything up until I get my HeyOk controller in. I would test it myself if I had everything in front of me. Has anyone tried this and failed to get it to work?

Cheers,
Dick

I got mine to work for about 30 seconds and poof went the control box. RC4wd said it wasn't under warranty either.

Bummer on the no replacement deal. Rc4wd makes some bad @$$ scale stuff, but if they make a product and it has a wire of some sort anywhere on it I learned to just steer clear

Those winches look sweet though!

Awe shucks. Oh well, guess I will just have to wait for my HeyOK controller to come in before I can play with stuff.

I will eventually be running a servo winch, but that new one just looked so purty that it made its way into my cart with my other stuff...

What was your configuration for this set-up?

We're trying to figure out if the new warn winch will run as fast on the new wired controller plugged into the RX on 3s through the ESC as it does on the new wireless winch controlled plugged directly into a 3s.

Hopefully that makes sense

Ask questions about that winch here.

Rckcrwlr is sending a WARN (ing) signal to all scale drivers

Obviously its hard to say if something is going to work when it comes to electronics due to the fact that there are so many variables. Should it work, I would think yes...but I would probably stick with the fact to only use it for what it was intended...

So with that, I wouldn't take a chance with your new winch.

I was using the wireless setup.

I cut the tamiya crapoola plug off and soldered on a deans, binded it like the instructions state to, plugged the winch into the woreless control box and poof went the control box as soon as i pressed the button.

I had a problem with my bulldog controler, contacted them many times...and here as well...no one knew if you could run it at 3S....a month went by and my many questions never answered..... well 3S and the motor does not work well...the next day RC4WD contacted me and said not to do it.... and the motor was no longer available. it was the brushless 3 wire.
