Default trying to figure out how to set up dual motors

This is my first time trying to figure out what I will need to set up dual 540 or 550 brushless motors and am wanting to be able to fully control each motor individually but am not sure if I can run both motors on one speed control or if I need two and if I need two how do I hook them up

You'll need 1 esc per motor. Certain radios can do mixing of channels.

Was looking at running a dual stick and need it to operate a couple of extra functions and was wondering what TX would work best

I've seen some chopper box guys running spektrum with success. The new one that the air guys love is the 9x series clones from a few companies.
