Default what size wire to run

I am running 30 turn 400's Holmes hobbies with micro side winders and was wondering what size of wires people are using?? I figure 16g should be fine or should I go larger????

I use 16G for battery and 18G for motor connection, but mine is just normal motor, not neodymium or cobalt magnet. You can use 16G all round just to be safe.

I use 14 or 12.. there is no such thing as to big of wire.. but there is a such thing as to small of a wire

I second this! 16 or 18 is just too small! You're running too many amps through those tiny wires! Heat will surely be an issue!

12 is a good gauge to get in bulk! Great for Batts, motors, anything really! Save the 16 and 18g for lights!

I use 16 or 14, purely because it is easier and less finicky to solder. Those big wires can suck up a ton of heat.

It would help to know what rig you have. If this is a comp crawler like a XR-10 with dual ESCs/motors and then 16ga wire for the motor and battery is good.

Search for smashups with the sidewinder micro or mini BR-XL to get ideas on how the wiring / packaging is done with dual ESC's.
