NOOB ESC and Battery Q?

Hello all..

I have an AX10 with a RC4WD Outcry Esc and a 50t brushed motor.

I want to run 3s lipo on the front axle, but am struggling to find one small enough to fit.

Can i run a 1000mAH 25C 3S 11.1V battery? These are small (31x30x57mm) and will fit nicely but am a bit worried about lack of mAh and discharge.

Any opinions?

I have been researching 2/3A cells... these come in 1100mAh for the cheap ones, and 2400mAh for the expensive ones.

Comparisons in physical size as I only have 70mm x 50 x 50 on the axle

3S Lipo @ 1100mAh = 11.1V
6 cell NiMh @ 2400mAh = 7.2V

I think the lipo would be better?

Another thought.. i can get 2 x 3S lipo's @ 1000mAh that are tiny (50mm x 30 x 30).. if i put them in parallel i will get the same volts, but twice the mAh?

about a year or so ago i had an scx10 with tekin 55T combo, i ran high torque servo and a winch. i never actually turned it on with a fully charged 1800mah 3s and hit lvc in the same running. i was easily getting 45 minutes out of it

nowadays with my TF2 running tekin 35T with high torque servo, servo winch, shift servo for 2spd, and leds, seems like im getting 20-30 minutes out of a 1300mah 3s.

and the discharge rate isnt near as important crawling as it is in a racing kit. yes with lower discharge you may bind up while a higher discharge may have the punch to pop free but how often do you plan to get in a bind
