Default Mamba Max Pro

Got a question for anybody, I bought a used Mamba Max Pro and there is a deans connector on the A wire/red and the C wire/black and the B wire/white is not connected, it setup this way to run a brushed motor on the Mamba Max Pro, I didn't know you could run brushed motors on a MMP.

Yes you can sir. It's a pretty versatile ESC.

You'll need the Castle link or set up booklet to change it back to brushless.

Yep you sure can run a brushed motor on there! The MMP is a very versatile esc.

Just a personal safety thing - but run the deans female on the motor output, that way no danger of plugging esc output into a battery during a moment of derp.
Easy way to prevent smoking a nice esc.

Thanks every one I'm going to run A Tekin 13.5T Redline Sensored brushless motor and going to put the Castle 4mm bullets connectors and 13 AWG wire and make some disconnect leads from the esc to motors, I got two MMP's and two Redlines 13.5T for both of my SCX10's, waiting on my MIPS CVD Center Drive Shaft kits.

One thing I've read before about brushless esc's is to cut all the esc output wires to the same length and also the same with the motor wires. I read it had something to do with the phases and different distances can mess things up. Idk how true it is considering how short our wires are but it's something I always do when messing with esc and motor wires.

I run that exact setup on my exo crawler. Absolutely love it, especially how adjustable everything is. Remember to set your timing on the Tekin to zero. At least that's what I was told to do.

Well I got every thing soldered up, and shrink wrapped. The one esc with red shrink wrap is factory, so the one in black shrink wrap is the one I done, and leads on both motors, so they are interchangeable between my Scx10's. There both geared with a 32p 60T spur and 32p 9T pinion and are way too slow so going to buy 10T, 11T, 12T, 13T and see I want one with speed and wheel spin, and one with torque and controllability to craw.
