Default Crawler seems weak. Affeced by cold weather?

So I just got back in from playing with my fairly new Scx10 Rubicon. While out I noticed it seemed a bit weak and didn't have as much pep as it had a couple days ago, or even yesterday for that matter. I thought it might be the battery so I swapped in a newly charged one with no change in performance.
I just recently waterproofed my crawler and have been in the water/mud for the past couple days without any issue other than the first day being out I got a smell of burning wire while crawling through a creek. No visible smoke and everything seemed ok. I think some sand had gotten into the motor and was causing some friction on it.
Anyways, I was out today in the coldest weather I've had my crawler out (around 25*F) and it just seemed slow. I first noticed the issue while crawling over some rocks. Got out in an open area to confirm that it was acting very weak.

Any suggestion as to what may be my problem? I'm still very new at this and learning so help would be appreciated

Did you spray out the motor with electronics cleaner and re-lube the bearings after running it in water or did you just put it away when you were done playing?

If you have a lot of grease packed in the tranny and the rears when it cold like that it really make the grease get pretty thick.

Low temps will affect lipo performance, see this post on HF

Lipo Batteries & Cold weather - HeliFreak

Seems serious, some are hitting the LVC.

Haven't put any grease in. Whatever comes in the RTR is what is in there

Thanks for the help, I'm hoping this is all it is. I'll be out again tomorrow when temps are a bit warmer and will see how it goes

So my crawler is definitely weak and I don't think it's being caused the the cold weather. Any suggestion on where to go from here?

My "Competition Ready" crawler was also very weak out of box. Lots of unnecessary friction due to poor mounting in the factory, with most screws overtightened.
Took me half a year and two burnt up motors to straighten it all out...

Current set up is a scx10 Rubicon RTR with all stock electronics and a Gens Ace 5000mah battery. Only a month old.
When I say weak I'm talking about the power. It used to have enough power to do donuts, flip itself over while turning etc. Now, it's a slow turd.

check your pinion and spurgear mesh...might be tightened....Olle P is correct, take it apart and check each screw....its good practice to do this, I tear mine down every 3-4 long runs.... 12-16 hours of run time..clean the motor, bearings....this is a working hobby..its really a good day when 3 of my rigs need torn down, I close the door to the shop, turn on U-tube, and rip into them...5-6 hours easy...

if your mesh is ok, take your motor out..or move your pinion away from your spur..then turn each wheel..should spin freely, undo each drive line..turn the axles, should spin very free....

time to get to know your rig!!

Most of what you just said was a foreign language to me. I have a lot of learning and reading to do. Thanks for the help
