Both pieces of the case are alloy? I have a bad habit of cracking the front plastic half...

8.4 on the old one...
The 500 will start out with 7.8 - 8.0 V just to see how it does.

John, I snagged one of the HV400s you blew out for $35. Used it for a few runs and I managed to snap the gear shaft for the "center" gear, for $35 I can't complain too much, just wondering if you know where I might be able to source a replacement part? Would hate to toss this servo over such a small part.

I've been running mine on the Wraith Spawn for a bit now. It's ran off a BEC set to 8.4v. It pumps out a TON of torque. So far, zero issues. It's been in snow, a river, sand, and mud. As far as I'm concerned, it a servo that does what you want and I haven't had to worry about it.

Actually............. I have some 2.2 sporty info..

I got some packs in today..
My main goal for today, was servo and tire testing. I feel I handled both..

I gave the servo all I had. Front end jammed into the rocks, at full lock and steer out of it while motor power is pushing into it.

Cracks, holes, and bound up..

Even hanging the rig from its front tire and doing pull ups with it, off a ledge, while I crawled my way around it..

Sorry guys, I tried and tried, but couldn't even get it warm! 6 packs into it, I stopped beating on my rig...

Set to 8.4v..

Well after reading how you beat your wraith if you didn't manage to destroy this servo I'll order one.

A beast even on 7V in my Wraith. The craziest thing is how quiet it is.
