It has two pigtails, one for the RX and one with a JST plug for power

It'ss a bit too high of voltage on a fresh charge, some internals wouldn't like it. Designed for 3s only.

Okay- dumb newb question. On the HV500 the HH web page says it is 2s (8.4v max) compatible. So can you use this servo with a 3s lipo? I'm guessing I can just limit the output voltage of the ESC with the Castle Link to 8.4V. Right? The kids trashed the stock servo in the Ax10 Deadbolt, hence I need a new one. (And I might get a slower motor too.) |

You can use the HV with a 3s lipo, but you will need an external BEC to handle the power. The external BEC (Castle BEC) will regulate the voltage to 8.4 for you.

Excellent, thanks John. I'm starting to get all this. (I got the CC BEC from you guys.) Now I just need to compare your Crawlmaster and Torquemaster motors. Expect another question in another forum later. |

Ill go ahead and help you. Want smoother crawling, get the crawlmaster. Want more torque, get the TorqueMaster. Most customers that try both never go back to the torquemaster, but nobody has ever told me they prefer the TorqueMaster except for a few competitive guys that wanted extra punch in heavy or tall tire rigs.

Has anyone found a suitable gear set for the HV400? I have one with a few broken teeth.

I have an issue with my HV400. When my truck is on the ground, the servo just twitches real fast and doesn't turn at all. Off the ground, no twitching and it turns. This is the 1st time out this year but worked fine last year. Running 3s, Trailmaster BLE Pro, Puller pro 3500 and ccbec at 7.4v Any ideas?

They were sent first class mail, would have left town the 24th. Since you asked it will probably show up today or tomorrow. If it doesn't, shoot Justin an email and we will reship some.
