Thinking about trying one. Even if they are cheaper I would think it's still better than my AS-3..?

I've got a thread on the 959 all alloy Turnigy Servo

comparing yellow delicious and granny smiths but still apples. I have not had any problems with it. Ran it all summer.

i ordered one BEFORE i saw the HH one. Now knowing HH one is "similar" to this tunigy one has somehow make me think they are not too bad.

so i ordered another one before you lots clear their warehouse....

BTW hobbyking is a hong Kong company, although it's still part of china but lots of difference. sort of half british and half china, i know because i lived there for the first 18 years of my life.

Just ordered one. If you wait to add it to cart for a few minutes they will drop the price to $33. In the comments someone said hobbyking claims it's waterproof as well. So what oz is this thing supposed to be at 7.4., 409 like the HH?

Weird thing is the link I have keeps taking us to the 900 not the 910. The 900 is only 258oz.in I believe. Ok fixed the link

Sorry about that, it was linking to the 910 originally or so I thought. You should be able to swap it. As a disclaimer: always check your specs lol.

Cheers,
Wade

Got it swap. Didn't say the oz so I "assumed" it was right. My bad.

Let us know how these perform once you get it in. Might be a choice for my cheapo clod axle trail build.

Honestly I'm not familiar enough with servo's to let you guys know if it's good. I can take pics if you like, but my experience comments will probably be limited to if it fails or not lol.

Well if you plug it in and it immediately burns up it probably isn't any good . Seriously though, just putting it through normal to extreme paces should do the trick. I am looking for cheap on my clod axle build so as long as it would survive a couple months would be great, as I won't be running the truck too often, it's more of a, I have these axles sitting around type of build. So any feedback on these would be good. I would buy them myself to get an idea but I am in the process of two ongoing builds.

Cheers,
Wade

My Turnigy servo should be here this week, as well as the HH servo that I ordered. Should really be able to compare the two. Plan on running the turnigy in the Ridgecrest and the HH in the Wraith.

Ok just received my tunigy servo TS-910. The first impression is, its quite well made. the whole body is alloy except the end cover plate. Mine come with a crack on it (cover plate) .

Testing it using my Hitec servo tester revealed pretty good impression. It pretty fast even I used a 6.6v life pack to power it. It is as noisy as my 7950 and seems faster (not scientifically measured). It center very well with no load. and make little noise when force is applied to it. I am happy so far.

Then I proceed to open it, first there is not gasket or o-ring, so for scaler application, you really need to WP it somehow. I intent to using it on SPM so its ok. I have fixed the crack bottom plate by popping back the plate. The circuit board look ok to me. It does look like it is a brushless motor.

Further removal of the top half revealed the major disappointment. What titanium gear??? There are a plastic one at first gear (that's ok hitec has it too in 7955.) but followed by 2 bronze gears and one look like aluminum final spline. It does not look like there is any Ti gear inside. Anyway, that's what $33 get you.

I can't verify the torque but it moved and center better than the solar D772. I plan to use it on my DD shafty build and will pump it up to 8v. Will report back, but it will be long, i have not build the car yet .

Overall I am happy with it so far, considered the price of it, I will be overjoy if the torque is up to spec and there are some Ti gear inside.

Some pic to enjoy.,....

Kind of messed up that it's advertised that it has Titanium gears. Either way it's going on my stock Ridgecrest to replace the AS-3, so surely it will work ok for that.

They make false claims in battery performance as well...Ive seen quite a few battery comparisons and they always finished bottom of the list.
Even the little Micro heli batteries are junk.

I would love to see the side by side photos of both servos opened up.
I'm going to put a few on order for 1.5tires and winches.

I will have both by the end of the week, I'm hoping the HH actually has titanium gears like they are claiming.

Received my Turnigy and I'm impressed with how it looks / feels. My HH will be in today and I'll get some side by side shots for anyone who is interested.

Out of curiosity would my stock AE-2 be able to power the Turnigy without a BEC for the time being? I'm assuming not as it only lists 6.0v and 7.4v, I believe the stock AE-2 is 5.1v? I'd try it in the wraith but I don't care to splice the wires on the Turnigy just to test it out.

Im thinking the titanium claim is more of a titanium coating..like associated had/has with their team shock shafts...If they were fully TI gears it would cost a lot more.
