Had a gt3b and now a hacked gt3c, only complaint was the power switch on the 3c from the earlier versions. Other than that not an issue |

You could get the gt3c and have it hacked, or do it yourself. Then you will have a 8 channel for less then the four channel you were looking at. Although the four channel does look pretty neat.

I have 2 of them, they feel and look a little cheap but work brilliantly as good as anything, they have great range and never had a glitch, I still like my Futaba and Sanwa better though, if you have a lot of cars the flysky makes sense as the rx's are very cheap at around $15.00

I have been a futaba user for about 30 years and have always enjoyed the feel of a good radio, I recently switched over to a Hacked gt3b and have had little or no complaints after getting used to the controls, as far as feel they dont feel any worse than the spektrum radios, and before you spektrum fan boys get all crazy I do use spektrum DX8 for my air control. Very economically priced, plenty around, nicely priced rx's, best part is if i smack it on the rocks then I lose 40-50 bucks as opposed to 400+ for a futaba 4pks etc. Oh and also love the idea of being able to update from my laptop as opposed to sending it off to be updated, hmmm the list continues |

I have a hacked GT3B from Overkill RC and it does feel a little cheap, but so far it has worked really well. The hacked firmware adds a ton of functionality.

Running a GT3C I hacked myself using OverkillRC hack kit. I can't say it feels cheap, because i've not used anything other than Tyco growing up and the RTR AX3 that came with the rig, but it works flawlessly!!

If you race make sure the venue allows them.

Running a GT3C and like it so far. It took a few to understand how to adjust endpoints and expos and get them to enter, but after that mine works great!! Haven't hacked it yet, be going to in the near future. Plus it'll bind with the Axial Rx... |

I have a GT3C and absolutely love it! I have it programed to 8 of my RC's and even swapped out the LIPO it comes with for a bigger one with no problems. The only gripe I have is when cycling through the models on the display, it's assbackwards. |

| Re: Thoughts on fly sky radios x2, mine's been great for multiple RC's, never a glitch, many adjustments, hackable (and option parts) via OverkillRC, good price and ergonomics. EDIT: I used to race and buy expensive radios, but this worksjust as good for way less money.

Oh and Best part about the Flysky radio is their receiver. $7 shipper per and they work great. Even have a failsafe too! Here is the upgraded Lipo battery for the GT3C. flysky lipo - Buy Cheap flysky lipo From Banggood Stock 800mAh on the left and 1200mAh on the right that plugs right in. 12.99 and 11.38 respectively. You can get the 4ch radio from the same site for $145 http://www.banggood.com/FlySky-IT4-2...-p-908899.html |

I would recommend againsts the flysky it4...it was a great idea but the stock firmware is very limiting and hacking into it would be a very interesting task. But the flysky GT3B or a GT3C with the new firmware is a great budget radio |

My concern is to operate a dig. I need three positions and want to cycle through them with the touch of a button. Can a GT3B or GT3C operate this way or do I need the IT4?

| Re: Thoughts on fly sky radios 2 posts up is the link... Losikid is overkill and brought these to us here. I'm a futaba guy but I do have a hacked gt3b. Great radio and does it all, but the price of my futabas make me feel like I'm doing something more Austin is the man and will set you up! Edit: yes, you can operate the dig with any button/switch and increment you'd like as well Last edited by Joshs4x4toyz; 01-30-2014 at 12:17 AM. |

Loving the fact that the GT3C comes standard with a lipo. OverkillRC sells larger capacity lipos for the TX too. | |

From what I understand, using the Overkill hack on the GT3C really only benefited me by going from 10 stored RC's to 20. I think the hack on the GT3B is more worth it (brings it up to GT3C standards) the scrolling issue (backwards) doesn't really bother me enough to drop the coin. It takes a second to realize that it's scrolling backwards and ya adjust from there. |

As with anything, getting those last few drops of awesome-sauce costs exponentially more.
