Default Please help

I recently water proofed my son's Axial Deadbolt with all the stock electronics. but we are having some issues. If he takes his time to get to full throttle in either forward or reverse it works just fine. When he or I squeeze the throttle quickly in either forward or reverse the truck doesn't move. I release the throttle and then pull it in slowly and it works just fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what would cause this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the motor doing anything when you quickly give it full throttle?

Not to me it doesn't. I am waiting for my receiver to dry as I had to dip it again and then I will try his esc with my radio to make sure it is not the esc.
