Default Split 1 channel to 2 winches?

It's possible to have 2 winches for only one channel? like a switch to power the one I want to use?

Yep, I have one channel running to a Heyok controller and then the output from that runs to a 3 position switch that I can select the front or rear winch from.

I think if you put a toggle switch on the signal wire between the 2, then splice the positives together and the negatives together it should work. but wait to see what others say.

Yes Heyok built me one with a winch controller built in. Look in the venders electronics section under the servo toggle switch thread!

A less expensive way to run two winches would be to feed one winch controller output into a switch so that it can feed either the front or the rear winch.

Then only one winch controller is needed.
