Default Should I bother? (27t axial to 27t HH)

Hey guys I'm switching to a brxl esc as my ae2 esc crapped out on me in my scx10....but I'm wondering if I should get the brxl and 27t expert torque master motor combo? I have a brand new axial 27t motor and I'm just wondering if it's even worth it to get the HH motor? Will I notice that much difference in speed and torque?

Reason I'm asking is because my budget allows me to purchase 1 of 2 options tomorrow. The Holmes hobbies br-xl torque master combo or just a brxl and a lipo and charger, as I am still on a nimh...

Thanks guys!

I'm sure there will be a power difference, if you will notice it or not who knows? What you will notice is a higher quality motor that can be rebuilt, and is backed by some of the best customer service in the industry.

I would do the esc and charger. Wait till your motor craps out before replacing it. It's a good motor.

The HH 27T will be smoother, more torque, drag brake better. So its a no-brainer. However, if you are still using NiMH, I will get the charger and some 3s lipo now, and wait till you kill the Axial motor (wont take long) then change to HH. They are rebuild-able so kinda save in the long run.

Lipo 1st! It'll turbocharge your current setup. The ae-2 is a rebranded castle esc. Pretty decent unit actually. After lipo, I'd get the hh motor. Unless you plan to immediatly start runnin 3s, I'd run the ae-2 till funds permit an esc upgrade. Besides, if your gonna stick with 2s for awhile, you won't notice much of a difference between the ae-2 & a more expensive unit. If any at all. And, DON'T forget a bec! Or you'll be back on here telling us about how your rig shuts down when you turn left.
