Servo to operate a dig

If the servo is mounted on top of the "gear box" of the dig mechanism, am I wrong in thinking that you don't need much of a servo to operate a dig.

I am thinking small, light and CHEAP!

Any suggestions?

Re: Servo to operate a dig

it does take a bit of torque to operate a dig but...
its all in the settings!!

you can smoke a servo fast if its set high.

Post up more info (what kind of dig unit, Losi or AX10) and there are plenty of people that have had a ton experience with them.

I see most people with a dig on the AX10 run a full sized servo (I have no experience, so don't take that as gospel), but the Losi is designed to work with a smaller servo. I have had great success with the MSX12 Digital Mini Servo.
