| Roc412 gearing ?
ordered my roc412 3100kv motor for my scx10 g6 this week and was wondering what gearing I should run on it. It has the stock 87t spur gear. Just wanted to see what anyone might suggest for gearing. It does have the stock 1.9s on it.

I would start out with 87/18 and then see how it runs and check the temperature. You might be better off switching to 32P gears. My 48p spur didn't last very long with the Roc412. For 32p I would start out with 56/12. |

I've seen a few people run 48p gears without a problem.. If it doesn't work I can always switch

Ive found 11-13 pinion gear with a 56 spur to work well. 48 pitch will not live ive already toasted 32p steel gears.

I also hope you have steel internals in the trans, otherwise they should be next on your list. |
