I think they are neewer brand? Chinese made, twenty bucks though. Half tempted to give one a try in one of my knock around rigs. More so out of curiosity than anything.

Cheap ones from china typically have a delayed reverse and limited programmability. Later EddieO |

I had one. It was rated to 16v it had instant reverse I think and there was no neutral as it was full brake. I sold it for $5 to a buddy who is using it in a comp crawler successfully. I have 2 of them now sitting and waiting to go into an rc lawnmower I plan to build. I hope they have the same full brake as the other one I had.

I have three of them that I use in my drift cars. They do fine for that application, they run cool and have a decent feel to the throttle curve. No programmability though and no crawler specific features, but for a cheap basher esc, they work pretty well. Plus the ones that I bought were only $10 each! I only use mine with 27t motors so I can't speculate on motor limits and they don't have LVC either, but again they were $10, so I can't complain.

Thanks for the info guys. I've got a drift car needing an esc and a little trail truck without one so drag brake is not a huge deal. Got a balance port voltage checker and low voltage alarm so that aint a big worry either. I'll give em a try. thanks again

Hobbyking el-cheapo Brushed ESC...$10. Lipo cutoff and drag brake. and when I say drag brake, I mean throw a boat anchor out back, it's way strong. Ordered 4 since they were dirt cheap thinking some would blow up, but so far all 4 are ok. Not bad for the price.

Update- decided to give the hobbyking esc a try. I bought 3, one for the cc-01, one for the tt-01 and one for my homebrew chevy thing. Over all I am very impressed. On the 60t in the cc-01 this thing is awesome, romp the throttle it'll do burnouts, the drag brake from WOT will do stoppies! Good hold on inclines. The tt-01 runs a 20t kyosho motor. Turned of the drag brake runs like the devil, pound the hell out of it and barely warm to the touch. The chevy thing is a 14th scale steel bodied tonka, homemade aluminum frame and crossmembers, axial trans, narrowed creeper axles, 1.55's, and homemade leafsprings. This stupid thing does wheelies! Granted i'm limited to 2s but it's all i have anyway. Lipo cutoff works perfect and can be turned off for the nihms. Yea it's no comp gear but for some playing around you can't beat it. 11$ each i don't see a down side.

Anyone try 3S lipo on either of these ESC's yet? I've had good luck with the exceed Mad Torque ESC on 3S, it too is only rated to 2S. No lipo cut off and I use a CC BEC, not sure if that helps..... Curious if these will hold up the same way.

I've been running one of the 320a ones with drag brake on 3s.... So far so good... But I've only done about 3 runs so far... But I'm using a lipo alarm because I don't trust it yet
