Default Need help on new speed controller.

My sons AE2 in his Deadbolt barely got wet today and stopped working. Whats a go replacement speed controller that will fit in the AX10 and work with NiCad and NIMH and Lipo batteries that wont break the bank? Is the Sidewinder SV3 any good?

Is the Atomik 320a a good ESC?

Sv3 is good and reasonably priced. The best thing about is its waterproof.

No idea about the other one.

Maybe you can dry it out in a bag of rice and it will work again.

Another AE-2 might also be an option. There are a bunch of threads about waterproofing them...

Good luck

I think all Castle products are decent, I would also give axial a call and tell them the esc stopped working, they may be generous and send you a new one depending on how long you've had it..........worth a shot. Welcome here and good luck.

Cheers,
Wade

Holmes Hobbies waterproof BRXL is hard to beat if you don't plan on going brushless.

Most, not all, electronics come back to life once they are dried out. Wait a day or two and try the ESC again.

Well after talking to my wife she said that he was in the driveway and not in the yard where it may have been wet. I wondered why I didn't see any water in it. I think the switch is bad on it.

Switch is easy to test. Cut it off and connect the two wires together. If it turns on you're good.
