I run a 3S 40C GensAce5000mAh. Its 5c Capable and is a GREAT battery. I get about 45min of Run time, hardcore speed runs and bashing, on my Brushless Stampede. I has stock gearing and tops at 45-50mph. On my Brushed Wraith however, I get 1hr and 30min of Runtime. It has power throughout the entire run. On my iCharger 206B, at 20amps (4c), I can charge the Battery in less than 10min. They have 2S lipos as well. Unlike NiMh, They are not water proof but can be Waterproof. MaxAmps Batteries are waterproof but are REALLY Expensive. They are a quality product but aren't the best bang for your buck.

I would look at a lipo pack in the 1500 to 1800 mah range so that it would still fit on the axle. You need to check the dimensions on the battery to make sure it will still fit. With the smaller packs you need to run a battery with a higher C rating (35 +) to get the amps needed.

I would check this one to see if it fits.

You can look at using saddle packs. it would give you what you are looking for. We use them in 4x4 buggies to help balance the weight side to side. I run 5000mah packs and love the run time. changing packs in the middle of the woods sucks.

Running saddles with lipo isn't the way to go. Mostly cuz the weight diffrerences are huge with nimh & lipo. You can run a little badarss 3s pack that weighs a fraction of your 6-cell sadlle, and smokes it performance-wise in every way. But, this is a good thing. Cuz it means you can put that little lipo wherever ya want without it messing with your bias much.

If I could start all over i would just get shorty packs. they have great power and you can put them just about anywhere as they r almost half the size of a stick pack.
